Disclosure: I have posted this question to another Reno site....but I want YOUR opinions!

What is your favorite SEAT in Reno (besides any seat winning at the slots or tables)?

Mine? There is a couch at Roxy's Bar against the iron fencing, overlooking the fountain and all the hopefuls passing between the Eldo and SL.

Cocktail in hand after arriving on an afternoon flight (I hate flying), RGJ in hand, settled into the couch, watching everyone. This is the seat that moves me from my hustle and bustle of the non-profit, hand-to-mouth world and puts me in the "bring me a steak, a cigar, a show with breasts and feathers (sigh, I miss Greg Thomspon productions at Harrahs), stiff drinks, a rowdy game of dice and let's get this damn vacation started!"

Although I have to say that fire pit with good friends at the Mill Fireside Lounge calls too......

You?

Way back before I felt unwanted at the Siena, I just loved to sit out on the deck on the North side (shade) of either Siena's Lexies or even the much cheaper Contrada Cafe.

It sits over the river and on a hot day it's nice to just listen to the river (play Loggins & Messina "Watchin the River Run" in your head) and forget about smoky, dim casinos for a few minutes.

I can never walk by any chair at the silver legacy without touching my hand across the leather. I used to love taking up a chair at the brew brothers bar, but it is usually packed after 9o'clock. now i like to go to the drinx lounge upstairs at the sl.

Not hijacking the thread but I can tell you where the worst seats in Reno are.
The VIP lounge at the Pep has chairs that would require one to be at least 14 feet tall to sit comfortably in. One could not even add pillows to the back and still touch the leather.

The best seat is any that is at least 4 seats from a smoker.

My favorite seat is in the spa bathtub in the Eldorado suite. There is nothing like vegging out in the tub after a long night (and hopefully winning) of gambling.

If it has to be in the casino, that would be in front of any "I Dream of Genie" machine.

How about any seat in the Peppermill Steakhouse with Lisandra as the server and a fat lobster parked on the plate in front of me? I've shared that experience with Pat, Marlene, Hawk, Jerry (who, ironically, was sitting next to a smoker) and his wife, BC Dave (and maybe his wife, sorry, old timers disease has set in) and JD. Alison missed her chance on her last visit, silly girl.

I gotta say this, John, she surely did smell nice for a smoker.

Course you (and she) kept me too far away with those "stabbing forks".

My favorite seat is between John and Jerry (right next to the nice lady smoker).
Now all I need is an invitation. Why is it that I do not expect to receive such an invite?
