Dave, just enjoy this golden opportunity and focus on the positives. In future years, you'll be glad you availed yourselves of this experience.
Ol' Satchel Paige said it well: "Don't look back. Sumpin' might be gainin' on you!"
Or, as I have always told my kids, "When you move, don't take any 'Baggage' with you. Focus instead on the positives of the new location. Every place has them." |

I will be there. Bringing my wife and my brother and his friend. All very much looking forward to it.
We will be arriving Wed night and leaving Sat morning. Sad about leaving a day early but that is just the way it is this year.
Washington Huskies look like they are going to secure at least a 4 seed which is exciting, Bama not going to make the tourney unless they win SEC tourney:( |

It's good to hear you guys are as exciting as we are. We are coming down Thursday morning and leaving on Sunday. Got some cheap rooms at the Sand's. Is anyone else staying at the Sand's? |

I took a walk through the Cal Neva sports book today at lunch time and the place was getting real lively. The main room was already full and all of the seats at the bar were taken. They've set up chairs in 3 overflow areas adjacent to the sports book and about half of those seats were in use. They also have some temporary booths set up for drink and food specials. I didn't have time for any other casinos but I imagine they were also busy. There was lots of pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks - mostly in groups of 4 or 5 males. I heard on the radio that the NCAA tournament is collectively the second largest "handle" for NV sports books, next to the Super Bowl. |

Thanks for the update Remano. I can honestly say even if you just have way like basketball and gambling you would have a hard time topping Reno during March Madness. I have done it 15 years straight and absolutely LOVE it! My buddies there now said it was a little slow earlier but like you said picking up. I am sure tomorrow (Friday) will be a busy day. What a great time! Nothing like making a few bets, sitting down with your favorite cold beverage and cheering them on! |
