Hi, hope everyone is doing well, and yes, that's right...between the Dollar Tree stores in Nevada, North Carolina and Colorado, I discovered some time back that they actually have casino decks at the check out counters! Some of mine unfortunately got misplaced in the move, so it's been a great way to restock at $1 per deck, as I've seen some go as high as $6-10 apiece on eBay. The only difference I've noticed is that there are a couple of other manufacturers out there besides Paulson Las Vegas, so you might not see that "This deck of cards was used in actual play in this fabulous casino" sticker on some of the boxes, but completely legit, all the way down to the cut corners.

I actually stopped in a few days ago and was able to score a deck from the Siena. One last souvenir from there, along with my win/loss statement from 2013, which indicated coming out $298 ahead. I guess having so few Blazing Sevens machines in there had its advantages after all!

I know I bought a couple of Siena bar stools over the years. Never got delivery, however. I wish I could have picked up one of their comfy bed mattresses cheap.

Thanks everyone, and yes, I agree, the Dollar Tree rules! I remember being so stoked to discover that the location on Virginia and Plumb was practically at my front door during all the Motel 6 stays, and actually read an article recently that many of the not so famous brand name goods you see in there are actually produced by the same manufacturers of the premium ones, just with different labeling, similar to how a lot of the supermarket chains do it. It was really welcoming after having to spend a bare minimum of $8 or so on a small jug of laundry detergent at the supermarket in Mammoth. Turns out there's one right at the end of the walking trail in my neighborhood here too.

JD - don't feel alone regarding the non-delivery of the furniture! haha Yes, this really did happen, but back when the Peppermill was doing their remodel, I actually emailed their general info line to see if they were by chance selling or giving away any of the velvet or black lacquer furniture or planet carpet (stuff that could be thoroughly cleaned, of course), or the big black jacuzzi tubs, and I unfortunately never got a response. Maybe if I ever settle down somewhere I might get a room decked out in its honor, maybe with some neon thrown in for good measure.

BC Dave - thanks for sharing. As of right now, I'm still looking around to replace my Fitzgerald's and Harold's Club decks, that I recall acquiring on my first real trip to Reno back in 2005 from the gift shop. I did recently find a deck from the Black Hawk, CO location of the Fitz when it was here several years ago. I've never met a casino deck, players card, dice, and/or gaming token my collection didn't like!
