Gov. Steve Sisolak has taken the draconian step of closing down all of Nevada's casinos (and many other 'non-essential' businesses). At least it's scheduled to (hopefully) last for just 30 days. I read online that it has put more than 200,000 casino employees out of work. Sad day for Reno and all of Nevada. Here's my depressing reimagining of our famous arch.

So eerie! Feel bad for everyone who is out of work. Thankfully i am still working since i work at a medical facility. (Kaiser) We finally closed for 6 weeks this past Wednesday to in person visits. I basically have nothing to do, but I'm getting paid. Not sure how much longer i will be going in or what future holds. All the casinos are closed for at least 2 weeks here as well. Hope everyone is staying safe.

We were down to the 12 Tribes Casino just south of Omak on March 8th. Had a pretty good time there and were up about $100 as we left for home. They too have closed down as of March 17th and will be until the end of the month (so far). We couldn't get there now even if it was open - The border is closed to all but essential travel. Hope things get back to normal soon - Good Luck!

Such sad, eerie, scary and unprecedented times we are living in right now. So sad to see Reno as desolate as every place else is right now. My next trip to Reno was going to be in May but that obviously won't be happening now. I'm supposed to be in Perth, Australia as I type this but that too, of course, was cancelled.

I am fortunate to still have my job and have been working remotely from home for 3 weeks now and will be doing so for the foreseeable future.

Take care my fellow Reno lovers. Stay safe and healthy. I look forward to when I can again write a trip report for my beloved Reno!
