|
|
I'm planning a March trip to the Row which will be my first time in Reno since the Eldo/Caesars merger. I have seven stars status which gets some fringe benefits in Vegas like priority lines, comp drink tickets, lounge access, show tickets etc. Is there anything of that nature to take advantage of in Reno?
Thanks |

Just wondering if you’ve tried contacting the Eldorado (or Silver Legacy) about the Seven Star status perks they might offer. (About the only perk this low-roller ever gets is a free drink here and there.) |

Not yet, I can't "officially" book my stay until 2/1, but figured I'd ask here first. I read that Eldorado has some VIP lounge on the mezzanine level with comp drinks. |

Only lounge on mezzanine I can think of: Roxy's Martini Bar and Cin Cin. Both nice.
Sorry, I'm with BCDave that I'm a low roller........ |

Thanks for the feedback - yeah I'm actually a low roller too when it comes to casino gambling but do a lot of betting on their sportsbetting app.
I have about $1,000 in food/resort comp to use in 3 days, and my idea of fine dining is adding extra onions to my hot dog at the Cal Neva cafe. |

The very thought of a big juicy hot-dog (with extra onions) from the Cal Neva's Sports Grill has me salivating. Washed down with a Heineken - Even better! And to use a few of those comps, you might want to top that off with a slice of the Eldorado's White Chocolate Cheese Cake from the counter at Millie's - it's awesome! |

Thought this was interesting. Host booked my hotel for Reno, and the reservation just reads 'The ROW'. I was told it was booked at Silver Legacy but don't have any confirmation

Oh, that is interesting. Wonder if it's based on availability and events in town. As there is no convention biz happening (or really limited), this probably won't be an issue.
IMHO: SL is the best, especially the recently updated rooms, followed by Eldorado and dead last (and I mean dead last) would be Circus Circus. Others may disagree, but I'm holding firm here. |

I rotate through all of them depending on what I am looking for. I like th3 Circus sportsbook vp bar for early morning abandoned bars, assuming it's staffed. Eldorado for gold club and most vp bars. SL for pai gow tiles and what used to be the best blackjack game in town with the DA#. Calneva for late nigh karaoke and people watching. |

Eldo does have the great bars for sure and CalNeva for late night (and I gotta say $0.25 roulette - yeah, I said that).
Sportsbook I'm partial to Peppermill and I do like the update at the SL. Not a big sports wager gal but I like the vibe during a football game.
GOOD LUCK! |

I'll use this thread for asking some pre-trip questions.
What kind of alcohol/drinks can you get comped, and what's the best place for premium cocktails? I like to order drinks like manhattans/boulevardiers/other cocktails that require some esoteric ingredients and a bit of extra preparation time from the bartender. |
