|
|
We have had some bargain trips before, but this one tops them all. The total cost (pre-gaming) will cost us $89 for a week in Tahoe/Reno. The Rapid Reward tickets SWA cost us $10 each PHL-RNO. Plus the Alamo intermediate car will cost us $69. Then of course 5 nights in Tahoe Harrah's and the 2 day weekend in Reno are comped. Then to top it off we get $220 bonus from Harrah's Lake Tahoe. What a deal!! |

Nice job!
I always find that the less you spend on "expenses", the easier it is to rationalize the possible losses!
"Why, if we would have gone to X it would have cost us more than what we lost last night!" |

Wow! Congrats! Sounds like a great deal.
Is the $220.00 free play? |

That's exactly how I rationalize/justify my trips.
Next trip: Free rooms at Tuscany. Free rooms at ? (likely Siena).
$130 in free play buys us a tank of gas in each direction.
Food is comped.
Thus, net cost is the gambling LOSSES. And they are always losses but easy to rationalize away.
Summary: Intelligent marketing works (though as we have discussed, there aint much of this).
The more they GIVE me, the more I GIVE them. |

Ali, a hundred from Pep and 30 from Siena. Always have 10 (I think) from Sands but I don't generally bother.
Matter of fact, last time I deigned to darken the door of Atlantis and insert my card, I even had 10 bucks there. |

Uhhh, about that hundred in free play. Since I have your card, I tried to double it for you. Damn - it was sooo close. |

That being the case, you will not wish to be "sooo close" to me when I next hit town. Elsewise, you will not be playing off anyone else's freeplay.

Alison'
The $220 is cash. Don't know how or why we got it but we changed our reservations to a date when it will be available. Thank goodness for SW's change policy. It might even pay for our gas while driving around. LOL. |
