Opportunities
for fun and health for Seniors abound in Reno. Reno Locals is pleased
to provide this list of programs, activities and links to more information
for our Senior Citizens. |
Senior Citizen Self Defense
|
Sadly seniors
are disproportionately victimized and
unfortunately many self-defense guides
don’t take into consideration
the limitations that often come with age,
which is why we wanted to create this specific
guide.
It looks at steps to take to avoid becoming a victim
of crime and should you find yourself in a situation
and how to protect and defend yourself. |

Senior Companion Program
Matching people who need dogs...with
dogs who need people.
Our
program focuses on helping
local seniors find companionship
and purpose through fostering or
adopting homeless senior
canines. Many of these dogs have
been through very traumatic experiences
and need recovery, companionship,
and purpose, just like people
do. Ongoing training, education,
and support are provided
for all of our adopters. When you
adopt a senior dog from CRCS,
you also adopt a new family:
us! We love our dogs and
the seniors who adopt them. Welcome
to the family! Adoption fees
are waived; donations in
any amount are greatly appreciated.
Call or e-mail us today,
a new friendship is right around
the corner!
