Silver Legacy Resort Casino

The one with the mining rig under a white dome. Downtown's most recognisable interior, and skywalk-connected to two other properties.

The Silver Legacy is the middle property of The Row — three connected casinos on Virginia Street, joined by enclosed skywalks, operated together by Caesars Entertainment. In practice that means you can move between the Silver Legacy, the Eldorado and Circus Circus without going outside, which in January is a genuine feature.

Its interior set piece is a 120-foot mining rig under a white dome in the middle of the casino floor, built to look like a Comstock-era operation. It runs on a schedule and it is very silly and it is worth seeing once.

Rooms are solid mid-range and the location is the best in the city for walking — the Arch is outside the door, the ballpark and the river are a few minutes south.

Good for

  • Staying downtown without a car
  • Moving between three casinos without going outside
  • Being walkable to the ballpark and the riverwalk

Worth knowing first

  • The Row's properties are mid-range. If you want the best room in Reno, it is in South Reno, not downtown.
  • Gaming floors are 21+ and minors may not linger on them, which affects routes through the connected properties.
